Meet Damion Hernstrom!
Hi! As the new Job Coach here at PlayGarden, I’m excited to share what I’ve learned and experienced while working in the world of Supported Employment and Special Education for a combined ten-plus years.
Moving to Seattle from Oakland a couple years back has been a great change for my son and partner as we’ve been enjoying everything the PNW seems to offer.
When possible during our busy and somewhat chaotic schedule, as a family we enjoy cooking, drumming and laughing at the silliest of things together but our favorite thing we love doing is to take long bike rides to unplanned destinations.
I’m really looking forward to meeting everyone involved in this wonderful community so please feel free to reach out at anytime.

Supported employment allows us to hire adults with disabilities to work in our programs. Those employees are supported by a job coach who helps them to begin their careers, learn new tasks and skills, and provide on-site job training.
