The PlayGarden Programs

At the PlayGarden, we give children the opportunity to take risks, conquer fears, play uninterrupted and experience the thrill of the outdoors in our three main programs: Summer Camp, Preschool and Free Play.

Summer Camp

The PlayGarden offers a fully inclusive nature-based summer camp experience for children with disabilities and their typically developing peers, ages 3.5-21.

Junior Counselor

The PlayGarden’s Junior Counselor Program is a youth leadership program that runs in conjunction with the PlayGarden’s fully-inclusive outdoor play-based Summer Camp program.

The program provides an opportunity for young leaders ages 13-16 to learn what it is like to  work as a camp counselor at the PlayGarden. Junior Counselors learn how to set-up camp  activities, how to support and play with kids of all ages and abilities, and how to work  collaboratively in a team environment while having fun!

Free Play

Free Play is an opportunity for children of all ages and abilities to play in our beautiful, inclusive park with friendly staff on site to offer support as needed. NO fees. NO registration. Just come PLAY!

Connections

This program is open to young adults with and without disabilities, ages 18 and up.

Program Activities: The goal of this program is to increase meaningful social connections for young adults. So of course, throughout the whole 2.5 hour session, there will be plenty of time dedicated to making and strengthening social connections, following the participants’ ideas, debriefing activities, and building community. Participants will also be guided through many kinds of collaborative art, music and writing experiences.
