Free Play at the PlayGarden

Kids of ALL abilities deserve to PLAY! We host Free Play hours to increase access to nature-rich free play opportunities for children, youth and adults with disabilities and their friends and family. Free Play is also a time to connect with community partners and members who share in our mission to end the stigma and exclusion of people with disabilities in our community.

NO fees. NO registration. Just come PLAY!

Free Play Dates & Times

Thanks for a great sumer of Free Play! Our dates for 2026 will be posted by March. In the meantime, we hope to see you at our community events hosted throughout the year. Visiting in the School Year

While we do not have staffed open play during the school year, we are still open for play every day from dawn to dusk. Additionally, we host community events throughout the year, which you can find out about through our mailing list and on Instagram and Facebook.

What Happens at Free Play?

You will be greeted by friendly staff that will welcome you, give you a tour, answer your questions, provide information on PlayGarden programs and most importantly, will engage kids of all ages and abilities in inclusive play experiences. Each session offers seasonal and culturally relevant activities such as gardening, cooking classes, music classes, dance, movement activities, art, construction and more!

Free Play Community Events

Free Play events at the PlayGarden are free to attend, open to the public and require no prior registration. Just come and PLAY!
