The PlayGarden is unique! We are both a public park and a private non-profit. During the school year, our preschool program runs Mon-Fri 9:00-1:00. We ask that visitors who choose to come during these hours play away from our preschool program.
The PlayGarden is OPEN TO VISIT Monday-Sunday dawn-dusk. Please play in a separate area from where preschool is operating during program hours.
There is access to a public bathroom on the south side of the Garden House. It’s maintained by Seattle Parks & Recreation, and may be locked. There is accessible load and unload parking in front of the main gate.
When visiting, ALWAYS close the gate when you come or go and be respectful of the garden. Please do not feed the animals.

The PlayGarden’s mission is to provide a space for children with disabilities. If your family is able to enjoy another park or playground, we ask that you consider a different venue so that families with disabilities have the PlayGarden available.
Before planning an event at the PlayGarden, please make sure to:
Check our calendar to make sure there are no other events happening.
Email our administrator, Kate to request to book an event. Info@seattleplaygarden.org
Make a donation to the PlayGarden to offset the maintenance costs. The PlayGarden is a small non-profit that pays all of the maintenance costs of the site.
Limit your use of the picnic tables to one per party. Please clean up decorations – No confetti.
Pack out all of your trash, recycling, and composting as we cannot accommodate increased garbage.
Leave the Load-Un-Load zone free of cars.
